MATTEO SALVATORI

ABOUT

Matteo Salvatori was born in Genzano di Roma in 1993 and he started to play at the age of fourteen years old. After a year of self-taught studies, he attended the music school “Amadeus” in Aprilia (RM) for four years and awarded with the fifth degree in Pop/Rock music at Trinity College London. At the age of eighteen, he kept studying independently for some years. During this time he made his debut into the Italian music's scene playing with many artists around his country and hitting some of the most important city of Italy like Rome, Florence, Milan, and San Remo. Among these bands he worked and performed whit the GB band“ Il Gruppo di Famiglia”, doing 250 gigs in five years and playing with some of the most famous artists of Italy like the lyrical singer Katia Ricciarelli, Massimo Di Cataldo and Lando Fiorini.

In 2011 he has been awarded with a second place for the single "Mi Piace"  in the national contest organized by the radio station "Radio Italia" for its twentieth anniversary. With another band, “Breaking Grace”, he recorded and released an album called “Mete&Ore” with the single “Ancora”  which it was on air and interviewed with radio Studio93, radio Hifive and radio ManàManà for few weeks. whit this band he participated also to Area San Remo which is part of the famous Italian music Festival of San Remo. He spent there a week taking lessons of music business, songwriting, composition, and marketing with some of the best contemporary artists of Italy like Ivano Fossati, Nina Zilli, Emis Killa, and Mauro Pagani ( director of Area San Remo and member of the band Pfm ). At the age of twenty-two years old, he started to take private lessons with one of the best drummers of Rome, Cristiano Capobianco, with whom he studied for one year. In the meantime, Matteo Salvatori got an endorsement from "Facus Drum Innovation" performing around Italy with their products in the years 2015 and 2016.

On February 2016 he had his audition for Berklee College of Music in Boston and after a few months, on May 2016 he started to attempt the college as a full- time degree students majoring in performance. Since he started to attend the college, he began to build his artistic profile by playing gigs with artists in the greater Boston area as well as Italy. 

On May 2019 he graduated from Berklee College of Music majoring in Performance.

On September 2019 Matteo Salvatori established himself in Seattle (WA).

During his studies at Berklee, he collaborated with many artists from all over the world, and he got the chance to study with:

Dave DiCenso, Henrique De Almeida, James Murphy, Rod Morgenstein, Tony Thunder Smith, Steven Wilkes, Neal Smith, Marty Walsh, and Dennis Montgomery just to name a few.

Currently collaborating with Artists and bands around the country such as: Juniipero (Seattle, WA), Tristan Simone (Boston, MA), and Sarah Keyser (Los Angeles, CA).

His style is predominantly Rock, Pop, Electronic, Hip Hop, and Country but he is open to any musical style.
